This digital workshop will foster an understanding of the key strategies that union members can practically deploy to resist the growing turn towards authoritarianism in our country. When it comes to understanding the structure of chapters, local, and national unions, collective bargaining, and labor rights, the jargon can be confusing, not to mention the misinformation about unions that is spread around.
This Zoom workshop will give the nuts and bolts about what a union is, an orientation on how unions operate, and why they matter.

5/12: Deeper Dive into Weingarten

Tuesday, May 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This Zoom workshop will give you the chance to learn tips and practice your role when representing members called into closed-door meetings with management through interactive exercises, a video simulation, and a discussion.
Members who took the Basic Steward Course this past year are being invited to sharpen their skills when representing co-workers in investigatory interviews during a one-and-a-half-hour Zoom discussion.
