Help Us Win a Strong Contract
Come to the Board of Supervisors on May 28
1221 Oak St.
Meet in the Courtyard from 11:30 a.m. for the Noon - 2 p.m. Meeting
We need all hands on deck on Thursday, May 28 at the Board of Supervisors to tell them we need a fair contract. RSVP below!
Updates from Bargaining
- We are making progress on our economic package
- The County improved their wage offer, but it is still not where our Bargaining Team agrees that it needs to be
- Members have given management presentations on more than two dozen specific classifications that are lagging behind comparable employers in the region. We focused on the recruitment and retention problems this inadequate compensation is causing, and the risk County residents are at because of our understaffing
- The County insists that our members pay more for medical
benefits
- Our team believes that this increased cost needs to be offset by an increase to the County’s cafeteria plan
- We are making progress on limiting contracting out and improving health and safety provisions for all workers.
We win strong contracts when management understands that we are united, so keep showing up at actions and come to the action on the 28th if you can!
