We’re Making Progress, But We Need YOU!

Article

Our elected bargaining team continues to make progress at the bargaining table, but we’re still waiting for the County to respond to all of our major proposals around wages, including cost of living adjustments to keep up with the 8.9% increase in the Consumer Price Index, longevity pay, bilingual premiums, telework, caseloads, vacation sellback, and safety.

We have recently signed Tentative Agreements (TAs) with the County that will improve working conditions for our members once we ratify this contract. These TAs include bringing our contract’s side letters into our grievance process, making everything previously covered in those side letters now as accountable and transparent as the rest of the contract.

Our next bargaining session is Thursday, December 1, and we’re expecting to receive responses to our major issues then.
