Bargaining Update
Management. Isn't. Listening.
The County’s Response to Our Contract Proposals:
“Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject.
Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject.
Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject. Reject.
Reject.”
Their Proposals: Increased Healthcare Costs for Workers + Wages That Fall Behind Inflation
SEIU 1021’s elected Bargaining Team has met multiple times with the County’s representatives. From the beginning, our priorities have been clear:
- Wages that keep workers from falling behind rising costs of living
- Better working conditions, including the flexibility of telework where possible
- NO increases to healthcare costs
- Improved morale for our members, with less mismanagement, clearer, fairer disciplinary processes, lower caseloads, and protections against contracting out
