Solano County members hit the streets for Mike Silva

Post

SEIU 1021 Solano County members are taking action to help elect Mike Silva to the Solano County Board of Supervisors! Members will gather for a precinct walk on Wednesday, September 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blue Lagoon Brewing Company in Vacaville.

Silva stood alongside SEIU 1021 members on the Solano County strike line. Now, members have an opportunity to stand alongside Silva and select someone who will continue showing up for working people on the Board of Supervisors.

“We have an opportunity to get someone on the Board who stood with us on the strike line and who will stand with us on the Board,” said SEIU 1021 Region A Vice President Elizabeth Harrison. “Now is the time to put words into action to support Mike Silva. It will take our votes, talking to our neighbors, and walking the precincts in support of him. We have to do something different to get a better outcome.”

By knocking on doors and speaking directly with voters, members can help elect leaders who respect workers and understand the importance of strong public services. Every conversation can make a difference.

“The opportunity is there to elect your boss, but we have to do the work to make it happen,” Harrison said. “Use your voice and your feet at the phone banks and precinct walks. Show up and show out—and let’s get this done!”
