SEIU 1021 & AFRAM to host free Back-to-School Backpack Giveaways
SEIU Local 1021’s East Bay Region and AFRAM Chapter are helping students start the school year prepared by hosting two free Back-to-School Backpack Giveaways for local families in Oakland.

“At SEIU Local 1021 and AFRAM, giving back to our community is at the heart of who we are. Our mission is not only to advocate for our members, but to uplift our youth by giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. This backpack giveaway is one way we can invest in our children, support families, and continue serving as a voice and resource for the communities we call home,” said SEIU Local 1021 Alameda County Vice President and AFRAM Chapter President Derrick Boutte.
