After months of negotiations at the bargaining table, 88% of SEIU 1021 members of the San Joaquin Chapter have voted YES to ratify their new contract! Together they secured meaningful wins, including improved wages, an additional holiday, and a one-time bonus payment this fall.

There was a struggle with management to move on making Juneteenth a holiday but the team did not back down until it was accepted as an additional floating holiday. Along with that big win, the chapter will see the following with their new two-year contract:

• 4% raise in year 1
• 4% raise in year 2
• Full-time workers will get a payment of $600 dollars on the second paycheck in November of 2026
• Part-time members will get $300 on that same paycheck

“I think the team did a good job focusing on all members and realistically keeping in mind the current budget,” said SEIU 1021 member and Human Services Agency worker Angela Radford. “I thank all the members for ratifying the tentative agreement because together we rise!”
