San Joaquin County wins new two-year contract

Article

After months of negotiations at the bargaining table 88% of SEIU 1021 members have voted YES to ratify the new San Joaquin County chapter contract! Together they secured meaningful wins , including improved wages, an additional holiday, and one-time money on everyone’s paycheck this Fall.

There was a struggle with management to move on making Juneteenth a holiday but the team did not back down until it was accepted as an additional floating holiday. Along with that the chapter will see the following with their new contract:

  • 4% raise – Year 1
  • 4% raise – Year 2
  • Full-time will get a payment of $600 dollars on the second paycheck in November of 2026
  • Part-time members will get $300 on that same paycheck

“I think the team did a good job focusing on all members and realistically keeping in mind the current budget,” said SEIU 1021 member and Human Services Agency worker Angela Radford. “I thank all the members for reifying the tentative agreement because together we rise!
