The mayor’s office has directed DPH to identify an additional $40 million in ongoing reductions over two years including $20 million in cuts to budgeted staff positions (approximately 95 FTEs).

DPH will be giving their proposals to the Health Commission on April 20, but we can’t wait until the end of April. We need to start showing up to the Health Commission meetings ASAP!  

Join us at 3:45pm on March 16 at City Hall outside of room 408 to stand up for public health, for our coworkers, and for the communities we serve. We will gather before the meeting starts at 4:00pm and plan to speak during public comment.
