Do you want to hone your skills for building power in the workplace, winning great contracts, engaging your coworkers? SEIU 1021 is sponsoring 15 members to attend the Labor Notes Conference June 12-14 in the metro Chicago area. Sponsorship includes conference registration, airfare, and hotel. Please note that you will need to use your own PTO if you are awarded a sponsorship to attend.
Join thousands of union members on the front lines in our workplaces and our communities, organizing new workers and agitating together.
More than 200 meetings and workshops include creative organizing tactics, beating apathy, running for local union office, winning contract campaigns, bargaining over technology, assertive grievance handling, and reviving the strike.
Face-to-face meetings to share tactics and swap notes are the heart of the Labor Notes Conference.
The local is encouraging members who have taken our in-house
classes but haven’t had a chance to attend this conference in the
past and intend to bring the knowledge they gain back to their
worksites to apply.
If that’s you, you are able and willing to take April
12-14 off work, and would like to be considered for a
