Are you ready to party? SEIU Local 1021 is hosting our fourth annual Latino Heritage Celebration on Friday, October 2, at Just Dance Ballroom in Oakland. 

While the current administration continues to target immigrants and Black and brown communities, SEIU 1021 members are standing strong, organizing with joy and determination. Even though we always have a great time, this celebration is more than a party; it’s another opportunity to build our collective power.

“Immigrants are going through so much in this moment, and there is a focus on Latinos. So, we need to fight back, but we also need to party. And Latino parties bring everybody together, especially during tough times,”said Latino Caucus Secretary Veronica Palacios. “We want our members to share in this celebration with us.”

“It’s important that we are in community—this is where we find our strength. We might come from different parts of the world, but we are going through this struggle together. And it’s important to come together now more than ever,” said Latino Caucus Vice Chair Laura Ocon.

The venue has parking available; carpooling is encouraged, as the parking lot may fill up.
