8/21/25 San Francisco Regional Meeting
Join us for updates & organize to WIN!
After months of union advocacy, the budget passed by the SF Board of Supervisors reversed scheduled layoffs of city workers. Unfortunately, it shortchanged the nonprofits doing critical work for our community, including many of those whose workers are SEIU 1021 members, and also eliminated important programs. And there’s more coming: Due to federal Medicaid cuts, the City anticipates a much larger budget deficit; the mayor is likely to reopen the budget before the end of the year, and layoffs and program cuts are expected.
This means we need to be organized and ready to fight even harder to protect public services and good union jobs, both at the City and in city-funded nonprofits.
Calling all San Francisco city and nonprofit workers to join us to organize! We are organizing to protect our jobs and the communities and residents we serve. Mark your calendar for Thursday, August 21, at 5:30 p.m.
Meeting is in-person at the SF union hall, 350 Rhode Island St., Suite 100. Dinner will be served.
All members employed by the City and County of San Francisco, nonprofits in San Francisco, SF Superior Courts, SFUSD, and the City College District of SF are invited.
