San Joaquin County Human Services Agency Membership Meetings

Being a Social Worker is not an easy job, you know that, but short staffing and safety concerns make a challenging job unbearable. We see this with record low staffing levels and burnout among our Social Workers. We hear you, and we are actively engaged in a campaign to improve working conditions for Social Workers at San Joaquin County Human Services Agency.

The first step in our campaign is a labor-management meeting on August 26, 2021, to discuss Social Worker issues. That is where we sit down with the management of the Human Services Agency to talk about important issues. That is just the beginning. But before we get started, we need to hear from you, directly from you. What is it like to be a Social Worker at HSA? What is your work/life balance like? Do you have one? What safety concerns do you have? Tell us about what you want to happen. What would your ideal workday or week look like?

We know your schedules are unforgiving. Please take a few minutes and join either one of these virtual meetings and share your thoughts. You can participate by video or call in. Just join! Would you please spread the word? All Social Workers are welcome.

This is the first step in taking back your power in the worksite. When we join together, there is nothing we can’t do.
