On November 15, join fellow classified workers from across Northern California at the Rosewood Conference Center in Pleasanton for a day of inspiration, learning, and action.
2025’s education summit will feature engaging speakers and hands-on workshops designed to energize and unite us as we shape the future of public education.
This year’s theme, ‘Fight for the Future,’ takes inspiration from the classic 1985 film, Back to the Future.
Just as in the 1980s, when rising inequality and political attacks on public education threatened communities, we face similar challenges that demand bold and fearless action today.
The film taught us that the future isn’t written; we must build it.
Together, we will fight to build the future we want.
Today, we stand at another critical crossroads.
While some want to drag us backward, romanticizing a time of underfunded schools, struggling students, and disenfranchised workers, we fight to move forward.
We know the real heroes are up to the task: classified employees. From the school bus to the lunch line, from the front office to the school grounds and beyond, it’s classified staff who keep our schools running and our students supported.
And when we fight for the future we deserve, we all win.
This year’s education summit is a call to action! We will not stay silent in the face of oppression. We will not go back to the past. We’re going to “Fight for the Future,” and we’re taking the power of organized labor and frontline lessons with us.
When we come together and organize, our schools thrive.
