SEIU Local 1021’s Social and Economic Justice Committee and Lavender Committee are proud to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community at this year’s Oakland Pride celebration. We invite all members, their families, and friends to join us on Sunday, August 16 as we march in the Oakland Pride Parade through downtown Oakland in celebration of equality, inclusion, and union solidarity.

The Oakland Pride Parade is one of the day’s signature events, bringing thousands together to celebrate the strength, resilience, and diversity of our community. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Grand Avenue and Broadway, following Broadway to Frank Ogawa Plaza /Oakland City Hall, where the festival continues throughout the day.

After the parade, be sure to visit the SEIU Local 1021 purple tent, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
