On Wednesday, Sep. 23, hundreds of City of Oakland union members attended Strike School. We got a massive bargaining update, including the City’s latest bogus offer of a 7% COLA over three years, after no raise in the last year of our contract. They also offer some possible bonuses down the road, not guaranteed, and not pensionable.
Plus, the City is trying to ram this three-year deal down our throats, saying if we don’t take it, layoffs and concessions are back on the table!
