Your bargaining team met with the County today.
Your bargaining team met with the County today. We passed some proposals. We have an agreement on:
- Sick Leave Verification
- Union’s longevity proposal:
- 1% at 10 years
- 2% at 15 years
- 3% at 20 years
Dropping part time hours from 1,560 per year to 1,559 per year
Here was the County’s latest financial proposal:
- 3 % in the first year
- 3% in the second year
Your bargaining team counter proposed:
- 6.5% year 1
- 6% year 2
We also got the cost of moving from 80/20 health care premium split to 85/15 which would cost the County around $5 million dollars for the next year.
Your team will have more discussions about next steps to take. We still have language for part time hours, health care, and Juneteenth as a holiday still on the table.
The team is committed to getting the best contract for all workers. We are set to meet with the County again on Wednesday, June 10.
