Bargaining Update
April, 2024

Article

It’s time to stand up against layoffs and takeaways!

Where are we with bargaining?

We proposed:

  • Comprehensive safety plan
  • Wage increases to beat inflation
  • Improvements to PTO
  • Strengthened union rights and representation
  • Big improvements to staffing matrices
  • …and more!

They proposed:

  • NO plan for safety
  • NO wage increase
  • Making it harder to access PTO
  • Strengthened management rights to dictate our work
  • Floating staff with insufficient training

Meanwhile, outside of bargaining, AHS management hired an expensive consultant who is already threatening layoffs.  AHS needs to spend their time fixing our staffing and safety crisis, not cutting jobs.
