2021 Chapter Board & Bargaining Team Elections Election Notice & Method of Nominations
Alameda Courts, SEIU Local 1021 Chapter
These elections shall determine Chapter Board Officers and Bargaining Team members as follows:
Chapter Board Officers
The term of office shall be for two (2) years.
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Chief Steward
- COPE Coordinator
Bargaining Team
The term of the appointment shall be for the duration of negotiation.

City of Berkeley CSU and PTRLA Workers Win a Strong, Fair Contract
City of Berkeley workers in the Community Services and Part-Time Recreation Leaders Association chapter tried a bold new strategy for negotiating their new contract, and used it to build unity and win a good contract, comparable to their SEIU 1021 siblings in Clerical and Maintenance. The strategy is called “open bargaining,” and it seeks to involve every member throughout the fight for a contract.

Convention Nominations Are Open!
- Nominations will start today, July 27, thru Friday, July 30 at 3 p.m.
- Email Karen.Williams@seiu1021.org to continue the nomination process
- Karen will keep all nominations until then
- Once nominations close, Convention Committee Members will call nominees to verify whether they accept or decline the nomination
- Those who accept their nomination will go on the ballot
- Voting will commence on August 2 thru August 5 via Election Buddy. Election results will be posted on August 5, after 5 p

SEIU 1021 CONVENTION DELEGATE ELECTION NOTICE
This year, the SEIU 1021 Member Convention is going virtual. Our goal is to bring our members together for a day of celebration, acknowledgment, and organizing around economic, climate, and racial justice.
