2021 CCA Chapter Election
Monday, April 26, 2021, ballots for the 2021 CCA chapter
elections will go out via Election Buddy. Please note, the
deadline to request a ballot is Friday, April 30, 2021,
and voting will close on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at
midnight.
Please mark your calendars for a Union Town Hall and
Candidate Forum on April 28th at 5:30 PM. The town
hall will kick off with bargaining updates, then you’ll have a
chance to hear from union officer candidates, and have an
opportunity to ask the candidates questions.

Please vote on whether to accept the Tentative Agreement. Your Bargaining Team recommends a YES vote.
Voting is limited to SEIU 1021 NDNU Chapter members only. Vote only once. Your name and other contact information will be used only to verify your eligibility to vote, and your vote will be anonymous.
Voting will open Monday, July 6, at 10 a.m. Pacific time, and close Wednesday, July 8, at 10 a.m. Pacific time. Votes submitted outside these times will not be counted. Results will be announced on Wednesday, July 8, at 5 p.m.

Mills College staff takes a significant step in building their union.
On November 21, staff at Mills College formally requested recognition of their union in a letter to President Elizabeth Hillman, stating, “We seek to cultivate a partnership with College administration that honors the overwhelming support for unionization among Mills staff.”
The approximately 200 workers who could win their unions serve students in a wide range of non-faculty jobs in the library, administrative offices, art museum, IT services, and by supporting the College’s academic programs.
SEIU 1021 CCA Bargaining Survey 2019
SEIU 1021 and Faculty Forward in recent years have organized about 13,000 people at 50 colleges across the country. Over 1700 faculty at seven colleges in the Bay Area have organized with SEIU 1021. Faculty Forward is organizing nationally to improve conditions for teachers and students in higher education. Your organizing drive of CCA staff is the first time SEIU Local 1021 has organized non-faculty staff to join adjuncts together in one union.
California College of the Arts Staff Vote Overwhelmingly to Join SEIU 1021
On Monday, April 22, California College of the Arts (CCA) non-faculty staff voted overwhelmingly to form their union with SEIU 1021.
Stand With Santa Clara University Adjunct Faculty and Lecturers
Fall classes at Santa Clara University (SCU) start this week, and
faculty and students are ramping up their organizing efforts.
They’re urging Father Engh, the president of Santa Clara
University, and the Board of Trustees to reverse their decision
denying faculty a free and fair process to unionize.

Faculty from seven Bay Area colleges and universities are united in SEIU 1021. Adjunct faculty are represented by SEIU 1021 at Dominican, California College of the Arts, San Francisco Art Institute, Holy Names University, St. Mary’s College and Mills College. All faculty, including adjunct faculty and tenure track professors, are represented by SEIU 1021 at Notre Dame de Namur University.
