SEIU 1021 members move closer to a strike as board continues bad faith bargaining
Thursday, October 26, hundreds of City College of San Francisco (CCSF) classified staff (SEIU 1021), and faculty (AFT 2121), rallied outside the CCSF Board of Trustees meeting alongside students and concerned community members in a show of solidarity. Both unions have been bargaining since March and report ongoing frustrations with the board’s continued refusal to come to the table in good faith.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - On Tuesday, October 3, SEIU 1021 members working for San Francisco Unified School District voted to authorize their bargaining team to call a strike. A resounding 99.5% voted yes.

BIG NEWS!! Yesterday, our SEIU 1021 bargaining team at SFUSD finally reached a tentative agreement with the District to settle on a new three-year contract!
After a year of bargaining, a 99.7% ‘yes’ strike vote, and the
hard work of our bargaining team and committed members turning
out for actions and attending open bargaining
sessions; this will be the strongest contract with the
District we’ve ever had, if we vote to ratify.
Your bargaining team recommends a YES vote.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - On Tuesday, October 17, the SEIU 1021 San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with management on a new three-year contract. After four years without a raise, a year of bargaining, and a 99.7% ‘yes’ strike vote, the hard work of the bargaining team and committed members turning out for actions and attending open bargaining sessions paid off with the strongest agreement SFUSD classified workers have seen.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, October 3, SEIU 1021 members working for San Francisco Unified School District voted to authorize their bargaining team to call a strike. A resounding 99.5% voted yes.

SEIU 1021 members at San Francisco Unified Schools move closer to a strike as district violates labor law, fails to meet basic demands
Saturday morning found about 200 members gathered for strike school, the strike vote kickoff, and solidarity
On Saturday, September 30, about 200 SEIU 1021 members from San Francisco Unified School District showed up to cast their votes to authorize a potential strike as the district continues to fall short in negotiations.
Union members wore purple in solidarity, chanted, voted, participated in an informative strike school to better understand their rights as workers, asked questions, and enjoyed lunch together.
