The Bargaining Team Election Process
We ensure that all major departments are represented. This includes SFGH, Laguna Honda, and the Community.
See the chart below: delegates will be elected by chapter / RN program. In each chapter / RN program, the nominees who get the most votes will be delegates on the team.
Providing Relief During the Mendocino Complex Fires
On July 27, Brian Klovski got a call from his boss that a
mandatory evacuation was in place due to a massive wildfire, and
it was spreading fast. “We train throughout the year to prepare
for calls like that. Within hours, we got to work to
help evacuees displaced by the Mendocino Complex Fires with
temporary shelter.”
Brian works for the Health and Human Services Department helping
coordinate homeless services throughout the Mendocino County.
During a countywide disaster, he leads the Mendocino County Care
and Shelter Team.
Stand Up for Fair, Transparent Hiring
CSC Meeting August 20, 5 p.m.
SEIU 1021 members have come out strongly against the Department of Human Resources (DHR)’s proposal to amend Civil Service Rules, eliminating the public posting of the Eligible List.
Over 850 SEIU 1021 members have signed petitions and over 100
showed up at Civil Service to voice their concerns.
We need as many members at this follow-up meeting as
possible.

Per SEIU 1021 County of Sonoma Bylaws, notice is hereby given of an election for the Negotiating Team for the upcoming contract negotiations.
Elections shall be conducted by worksite ballot, held during the week of September 4-11th, 2018 during the hours of 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted, at the following locations:

1021 member Ben Stopper decided to run for political office when arts and music programs at his kids’ schools were being cut. The longtime Calavares County resident is running for County Board of Supervisor to represent the District 5 communities of Milton, Jenny Lind, and Rancho Calaveras.
