To Vote, or to Run for Office,
Make Sure You Are a Member in Good Standing:
Yes! I commit to talk to five of my friends, family members, and co-workers to make sure they are registered to vote.
Our communities are in crisis because of COVID, but for many of us, the crisis started long before the virus hit. As we approach the next election, our members are demanding bold steps forward, and vowing they will not return to a status quo that may have worked for the richest 1% of our country, but had not worked for working people for decades.

We Are Still At the Table with Management, Fighting to Protect Jobs and Prevent Furloughs
Port of Oakland management thinks it’s fair to ask SEIU 1021 members to endure layoffs or up to 16 unpaid furlough days while they sit on more than 70 million dollars in reserves. It’s not fair, and it will make our jobs less safe, and we won’t stand for it.
Our SEIU 1021 bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with management!

After months of negotiating in the midst of a global pandemic, we are thrilled to announce that we’ve reached a tentative agreement (TA) with management at the City of Berkeley.

SEIU 1021 City of Richmond Emergency Chapter Meeting
JOIN US!
Our contract expires on June 30. The City’s plan for us is: extensive furloughs and expensive employee contributions to medical benefits, while they still sit on seventeen million dollars of unspent reserves. This is an all-hands-on-deck situation and we need everybody to step up and get involved.
