RESPONSIBILITIES: Will work with the Organizing staff to implement the organizing plan of the Local Union. Identify and recruit worker leaders who want to organize to join the union; direct contact with unorganized workers; development of leadership and structure of organizing campaigns, as well as conduct organizing drives and representation elections. Mobilize union members to support new organizing. This is not a 9 to 5 job, and includes long and varied hours, with early morning, evening and weekend work, as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Communication Coordinator, this position is responsible for all aspects of communication in support of SEIU Local 1021 core purposes.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
• Design a strategic campaign plan that accomplishes member goals through traditional and new media platforms. Candidate will be required to present on-going campaign plan to Communications Coordinator with expected deliverables and deadlines.
