Northern California – On Monday, January 22, the 51st anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, Planned Parenthood Northern California workers announced they have supermajority support to form a union. Since the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision ended federal protection for abortion rights, demand at some California clinics has quadrupled, straining the ability of clinicians, nurses, administrative and support staff, and social workers to sustain heavier workloads.

Felton United Workers Unanimously Ratify Long-Awaited New Contract, Raising Wages and Improving Health and Safety Conditions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – SEIU Local 1021 Felton United Workers voted unanimously this week to approve a historic new three-year contract after a year and a half of frustrating negotiations. On Wednesday, December 27, members voted to ratify the strongest contract they’ve ever had with Felton, with 100% of voting members supporting the new contract.
