Contribute to the Mendocino County Strike Fund
A number of years ago, the Mendocino County Chapter established a
Chapter Strike Fund to provide financial assistance in the event
of a strike. We are committed to reaching a fair agreement with
the County, but should the County refuse to bargain in good faith
or commit unfair labor practices, we must be ready to strike if
necessary. To prepare for this possibility, the Chapter Executive
Board and Negotiating Team have called for a resumption of the
Chapter Strike Fund.

On Saturday, April 13th, our Alameda Labor Council hosts a Labor Convergence on Climate to prepare our unions to address the challenge of global warming.

Workers Speak Out to Stop the Abuse of Temporary, At-Will Workers
On April 4th at SF City Hall, over 75 members of SEIU 1021 and
IFPTE Local 21 lined up for public comment to ask the SF Board of
Supervisors Government Audit & Oversight Committee to stop the
abuse of temporary and exempt workers city workers. Temporary and
exempt workers lack job security, and most workers have fewer
benefits and protections.
