Old bosses, new organizing
The labor movement sees a resurgent, militant push to organize big tech, big coffee, and big food

May 16, 2022: A sleeping working-class giant is awakening from its slumber. In more ways than one, the labor movement is striking back by taking on new organizing opportunities against some old foes. Nearly half a million workers went on strike in 2018 and 2019, the most significant numbers in three decades. The militancy continues with workers fighting for the right to form a union, win higher wages, and secure better benefits. The result: a strike wave and a rising tide of worker power taking down the most challenging foes.

Keep Showing Up for a Fair Contract!
SEIU Local 1021 Contra Costa County Bargaining Update

After meeting twice with County management as part of our union coalition, the County has not yet offered an acceptable economic proposal. To solve our staffing crisis, and to be fair to our dedicated County workers, we must receive a wage proposal that puts us well ahead of skyrocketing inflation and keeps us competitive with other Bay Area employers!

To show the County that we mean business, we will be holding a dozen rallies over the next few weeks: check out the schedule and RSVP at the following link (or scan the QR code with your smartphone camera):

Update on return to in-person work negotiations

A few weeks ago the NorCal Outpatient Union Alliance successfully engaged in our first meeting with upper management regarding the mandate that all staff return to the offices five days per week. We are a group of dedicated HR360 outpatient staff who are standing up on behalf of ourselves and our clients to fight for a voice at HR360. We are calling for a hybrid schedule, and invite you to sign our petition to show your support.
