What is a grievance?

Any worksite problem could be a grievance. All violations of the contract are grievances! If you question whether your situation is a grievance, contact your shop steward.

Stewards are assigned to assist in addressing problems members may have on a variety of issues. If you have a question regarding your rights on the job or other member related questions a steward may be able to help. For more information,

What are your rights?

Your Right to Representation

Employees have a right to union representation during investigatory interviews. These rights are known as Weingarten Rights

Garrity Rights

Can help you if you think management suspects you of criminal conduct.

Lourdmill Rights

Can help you if you are in danger of losing your job.

Family Medical Leave Act

Guaranteed medical leave when you or a member of your family are ill.
