The elected union bargaining team for the Citywide (miscellaneous) contract reached a tentative agreement with the City on Friday, April 12. The bargaining team has voted to recommend this agreement to members for ratification. Please see schedules for informational meetings and ratification voting below.

We will begin voting on the tentative agreement next Monday, May 6, at 8 a.m. Online voting will be available online via ElectionBuddy through Monday, May 13, at 5 p.m. In-person voting will begin on Wednesday, May 15, and will continue through Wednesday, May 29.

Please note that only SEIU 1021 members can attend informational meetings and vote on the tentative agreement. If you are not a member, please sign up at join1021.org.

Online voting May 6-13, 2024

The online portion of the ratification vote will be held electronically using ElectionBuddy from May 6 through May 13:

• May 6 at 8 a.m.: online voting opens
• May 13 at 5 p.m.: online voting closes

ElectionBuddy is a safe, secure, and easy-to-use tool for online voting that has been tested by the Department of Labor and used in multiple elections across SEIU 1021 already. Click here to watch a tutorial explaining how it works.

ElectionBuddy uses our list of eligible voters to issue ballots by email and text message so that members can vote from their computer or phone. It also uses encryption to keep all information completely confidential. 

In order to guarantee that you receive your electronic ballot for ratification in a timely fashion, it’s important to make sure that your contact information is up to date. To update your contact information, contact the Member Resource Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1-877-687-1021.

In-person voting May 15-29, 2024

The in-person portion of the ratification vote will be held from May 15 through May 29. The dates, times, and locations will vary by chapter. Please find the complete list below, in alphabetical order by chapter.
