You Have the Right To:

  • Organize a union & bargain with your employer over wages, benefits & working conditions
  • Attend union meetings to discuss forming a union
  • Discuss the union at work, when you are permitted to discuss other non-work issues
  • Wear union buttons or stickers at work
  • Read/pass out union info in non-work areas at non-work times
  • Sign a union card


The Employer Cannot:

  • Fire, punish, intimidate or coerce employees seeking to organize or join a union
  • Threaten to close agency or layoff employees if they organize a union
  • Tell employees that union will take away benefits & privileges currently in workplace
  • Bribe employees to vote against the union or promise other benefits to influence their vote
  • Ask about union activities, how employees intend to vote or if they have signed a union card
