As the state delivered an uppercut to cities by dissolving their Redevelopment Agencies and seizing their funds, SEIU 1021 moved quickly to help keep the San Francisco agency’s projects cheaper for the City, while retaining the experienced and dedicated staff that keep the City’s economic development engine running.
