ALAMEDA COUNTY
SEIU Local 1021 represents over 4,000 Alameda County Government workers. These workers are members of three different chapters in Local 1021, all working under the same contract. The Social Services Agency (SSA) Chapter includes mostly members from the former Local 535, as well as some members from former Local 616. All members of the SSA chapter work for that county agency. The Behavioral Health Care Services (BHCS) Chapter includes members who work in the BHCS branch of the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency (HCSA). The ALCO Chapter consists of former Local 616 members who work in all the other departments and agencies of Alameda County, including the other branches of the Health Care Services Agency (except BHCS).
Local 1021 represents the following Bargaining Units in Alameda County: Units 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12.

EAST BAY REGIONAL GROUP
East Bay Regional group meetings happen monthly, and all Local 1021 members in Alameda County are invited, from all employers and jurisdictions. Meetings happen on the third Tuesday. The meetings are coordinated by the three Area Representatives from Alameda County to the Executive Board of Local 1021. They are Amy Dooha (Alameda County SSA), Greg Correa (Chabot College), and Eric Stern (Regional Center of the East Bay). amy.dooha@seiu1021.org, greg.correa@seiu1021.org, and eric.stern@seiu1021.org.
ALAMEDA COUNTY COPE COMMITTEE
The Alameda County COPE Committee meets monthly on the first Tuesday at the SEIU Local 1021 office at 100 Oak Street, Oakland 94607. The meetings are open to all members of SEIU Local 1021. Voting delegates to the COPE committee must be approved/appointed by their chapters. Each of the three chapters of Alameda County employees is entitled to appoint up to three delegates to this county COPE committee. ALAMEDA COUNTY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM (ACERA)
All full-time permanent employees of Alameda County are in the Alameda County Retirement System (ACERA). ACERA is a defined benefit plan which operates under the County Retirement Law of 1937. For more info, see www.acera.org.
ALAMEDA COUNTY RETIRED EMPLOYEES (ACRE)
All Local 1021 members who retire from employment with Alameda County are eligible to join the ACRE chapter of Local 1021. ACRE members receive a newsletter from the union, covering issues at ACERA and at Local 1021, in addition to other topics of interest to seniors and retirees. Please see xxxxxx.
