Vision Town Halls Look into 1021's Future

Speak up about the future of your union at these events

How do you see the union of the future? Or the future of 1021?
Those are the kind of question that members will get to ask and answer at a series of 1021 Vision Town Halls being held throughout the local in March, April, and May.

The local’s Vision & Bylaws Committee is charged with drafting a new constitution and bylaws for SEIU 1021, and is seeking member input into the process by holding three rounds of town hall meetings over the next year or so. In the first stage, now underway, we’re defining SEIU 1021’s mission and purpose. The second and third rounds will focus on concrete issues of union structure and democracy, concluding with draft documents for discussion.

What kind of union will 1021 be in the 21st century? What struggles will public service workers face five, 10, or 50 years from now? How will our communities change? What will it take for us to meet the challenges? Come add your voice at the town hall meetings listed below.
