Breaking News (ABC 7 and other video, press): SFGH nurses say understaffing affects patient’s safety in ER

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Nurses and other workers at San Francisco General Hospital are making some serious charges. They believe the hospital has chronic understaffing which creates unsafe conditions for patients.

These allegations come in the aftermath of two high profile incidents in less than a year.

The nurses and the hospital workers are members of SEIU Local 1021and they say the understaffing is especially serious in the emergency room and say it’s happening on every single shift.
