Nonprofit Justice

The Nonprofit Justice Campaign came together in 2012 as a coalition of nonprofit workers in San Francisco joining forces to advocate for adequate funding for community services, workers’ wages and client care.

We successfully won a 2% increase in funding to San Francisco nonprofits last year, which for unionized employees translated into a 2% raise. This year, we fought for a 4% COLA but only got 1.5%; now, the Nonprofit Justice Coalition is going to start a fight for a structure to build cost-of-doing-business increases into contracts with the City.

Our goal for the coming years is to bring more nonprofits under our umbrella so that we will have an even stronger voice and can win greater funding and, consequently, improved service for clients and communities, and better wages and working conditions for nonprofit workers.
