SEIU 1021 won a big victory this week at the San Francisco Board of
Supes' Budget and Finance Committee. On Nov. 14, board members Tom
Ammiano, Aaron Peskin and Bevan Dufty —
voted unanimously to reinstate all the staff positions in inpatient
psychiatry at SFGH that had been cut during the budget process in the
Spring.

Prevent the Meltdown of Napa County Services

Napa County workers rallied outside of the Napa Board of Supervisors Building on Wednesday to urge the Board of Supervisors not to allow their contract to expire without a new agreement. At the rally, county employees handed-out ice cream to prevent the “meltdown” of county services by encouraging members of the community to contact their Supervisor before the contract expires on June 29th.
